Tricia Sawyer Skin Balancing Water Primer
Follow me on Twitter
It took me a while to warm to idea of using a primer, but once I discovered what they did for your makeup … I was hooked.
Primers act as a barrier between your skin and the foundation.
Even if you don’t wear foundation and only wear some pressed power, you will also benefit by using a primer because not only are you creating a shield to protect your skin, you are also hiding fine lines.
I’ll tell you that from where I stand, every woman over 35 SHOULD use a primer … especially if she wears foundation on a daily basis … simply to unify your skin and smooth down little imperfections. A more unified or flawless finish will give you a more youthful appearance.
Most primers are silicone-based and if you are looking for a lighter alternative or if you have sensitivities to silicone, you might want to consider a water-based formula.
I recently caught wind of Tricia Sawyer Skin Balancing Water Primer, which is a non-greasy, oil-free formulation that has water-capturing properties to balance the skin.
The Tricia Sawyer Skin Balancing Water Primer contains aloe leaves to soothe and cool the skin, sodium hyaluronate to help reduce the appearance of your fine lines, and silicone to maintain your natural moisture levels by trapping water next to the skin’s surface.
In terms of pricing, the Tricia Sawyer Skin Balancing Water Primer is a little cheaper than other primers on the market (US$34). You’ll find it at Sephora stores and at Sephora.com. Canadian readers will again have to wait for a trip to the U.S. to stop by a Sephora store to buy the Tricia Sawyer Skin Balancing Water Primer, but if you are looking for a water-based primer that is sold in Canada, you can go to Sephora Canada and try the Lorac AquaPrime Primer, which is ideal for sensitive skin.
