The Venus 2009 Collection will have you summer-ready in an instant!

I really like Venus products. They’ve always been dependable and let’s face it, their shavers are quite pretty and slender and easy to grip.

I’m sure you’ll enjoy this little overview of their latest summer 2009 collection as much as I did.

Let’s start with the Venus Spa Breeze. The shaver has a built-in shave gel bar that will leave a white tea scent as you shave your body parts without the need for another shaving gel. I’m not sure how I feel about this. Although I love that the smell will be something subtle such as white tea, I find that shavers with gel bars get used up fast and when they gets close to the end, they don’t lather as well. The entire kit including the refillable razor, two shave gel bar cartridges and shower compact is $9.99 USD/$12.99 CAD.  It comes in a disposable version that retails for $8.49 USD/$9.99 CAD for two of the razors.

If you are like me and like multi-blade razors then you might want to try Venus Embrace. It’s the violet and turquoise one. It has the usual soft grip that you’re used to with Venus razors and the blades is of course surrounded by a coating of moisturizing ribbon that will help the shaving process. It comes with a case that you can leave in your shower. The Venus Embrace retails for $13.20 USD/$15.99 CAD.

But of course their other razors are still available, such as Venus Breeze (the 2-in-1 razor with those built-in gel bars), Venus Vibrance (this exfoliates your skin) and Venus Divine (also a favourite of mine because of its Intensive Moisture Strips).

I’ve got to say, I really enjoy that the scents in this summer collection are very fresh yet subtle.

The next item I want to talk about is the Satin Care Lavender Kiss Shave Gel. This is of course a great complement to one of the razors I mentioned above, aside from the ones with the built-in shave gel bars. And usually you can find this at most stores at an affordable $3.38 USD/$3.99 CAD.

The last item on the list the Venus Disposables Tropical razors. If you can’t get out to a tropical destination this summer then this’ll give a little sense of the tropics when you’re going on a short trip somewhere. True to its theme it comes in three bright colours, each with its own scent. You can find these razors retailing for $8.39 USD/$9.99 CAD.
