Using the oil first creates a whole different shave, super smooth and it feels less harsh. Anything to make shaving a more bearable experience, this does the trick.
5 Stars Actually it is THE shaving-oil
A few years ago I found this product in New York. I was amazed, only a few, small drops (I use a small pump flask, two pumps each side) massaged in the shower-wet beard and shaving ends with amazing smooth result – I do not use any other shaving foam. Well I have not found this product here in Finland but amazon makes it possible – I use 2 bottles of this product a year.
4 Stars An Excellent Shaving Oil
I purchased this shaving oil as the L’Occitane shaving oil that I had used for years was unavailable. I was looking for a shaving oil that I could use with both electric and blade razors. The L’Occitane product could do this, as it is a relatively light oil. This product is thicker, and a little tacky once applied. When I shave with my Gillette Mach 3 razor, I use either a shaving cream or gel in addition to the oil. This product has worked as expected in this situation, giving me a close shave with no irritation. However, due to the thicker, tackier nature of this product, it has not worked well with my electric razor. Therefore, I would highly recommend this product if you shave with a blade, but I would look for a thinner, less tacky oil if you use an electric razor. Additionally, if you have never used a shaving oil, it is worth a try. It allows for a much closer shave with much less irritation. After using oil for a number of years now, and seeing and feeling the difference it makes, I can’t believe no one ever told me to use it before.
3 Stars Adds a certain amount of comfort to your shave
I’ve been using this oil before I shave for about 2 weeks now. I’m happy with the results so far though I have to say that as long as you are wet shaving properly this product is not particularly necessary. The price is a bit high for what is essentially a bottle of scented caster oil.
