I’m so happy with my new Gourmet Nutrition cookbook!

There are so many delicious recipes, but I decided to start with the most important meal of the day - breakfast!

Since I quite like protein smoothies and I usually drink two or three of them a week, I’m always eager to try new recipes.

Gourmet Nutrition has an ENTIRE chapter devoted to smoothies. Some of the combinations are divine … think of raspberry mocha shake, or orange chocolate shake, or Piña Colada shake or even the Blueberry Madness Smoothie!

All the recipes contain the nutritional information including calories, fat content (saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated, Omega-3, Omega-6), carbohydrates, fiber, sugars and protein. You even get variations to each recipe just in case you have allergies or if you are not able to locate certain ingredients.

I know this post will cause a bit of a stir because I’m going to tackle obesity and its relation to driving a car.

Before going into studies and details and facts, I’ll use my own example. I grew up on the East Coast and moved in my 20s to the West Coast. When I moved to my newly adopted city, I quickly realized that I would not be able to get around as easily as I did because the transportation system and subway system was just not at par with what I grew up with.

Are you way too busy to think about fitness?

If you are like most women, you are juggling family, after school activities, a career, unpredictable situations and now you are dealing with keeping it all together in this financial meltdown.

Most Canadians have just finished celebrating Thanksgiving and most Americans still have a few weeks to go until they celebrate this holiday. A few weeks after that we jump into the countdown to a series of Christmas parties and what I call the season of uncontrollable eating and drinking.

A lot of you will simply postpone any weight loss goals until the New Year because what’s the point of trying to lose weight before the holiday season, right? Wrong! What about going into the holiday season looking smashing and getting all heads at the party to swivel when you walk by? What about enjoying the holidays at a healthier weight? Most women cannot stand the sight of their legs, butts, hips and thighs

legs, butts, hips and thighsIt’s safe to say that if you were to ask any woman in any country on this planet which parts of her body she dislikes the most, I’m almost 100% certain that she’ll tell you that she doesn’t feel all that comfortable with their legs, butts, hips and thighs.

The reason why so many women feel uncomfortable with that part of their body is because as you age if you don’t have a regular fitness program that you follow week in week out, your body will change and expend.
