Mel Gibson’s new relationship has been quite the news maker. Every media outlet from TV to late night comic shows to celebrity blogs picked up on the news.
I don’t know of a woman who doesn’t have an opinion on this story of new love or on the many millions Mel’s soon-to-be former wife will receive (lucky, lucky lady).
It’s always interesting to know who the “other” woman is and what she looks like when a celebrity with such a high profile as Mel Gisbon steps out with a new gal on his arm. I’d say that the premiere of the “X-Men Origins” in Los Angeles at the end of April was the perfect opportunity for Mel Gibson to show off his new girlfriend!
Mel has chosen a 39 year old Russian former model turned singer as his current flame.

Which of your favourite celebs over 35 are admitting to using a little Botox here and there?
I will preface this post by saying that all that I’m about to write is based on rumour of course because we all know that in Hollywood no one has a cosmetic doctor on speed dial!
That said, there are some celebs who openly admit to having a bit of help in keeping their youthful look.
It’s a dog-eat-dog-world in Hollywood and I may be all philosophical about aging and I may spend a lot of time on my site pushing the virtues of aging well, but then again I do not make my living in front of the camera.
I will openly admit to my readers that I’ve never had any nip, tuck or injections done not because I’m opposed to the idea or feel that I want to age gracefully, but simply because I don’t feel I need it. As long as I keep looking much younger than my real age … then I’ll only be visiting my cosmetic doctor to help me deal with my acne scars.

After many years away from the spotlight and raising her little family of three kids, Julia Roberts is back on the cover of magazines looking more beautiful and serene than ever before.
A few weeks ago, I went to see Slumdog Millionaire (I caught the movie, just before the 2009 Oscars) and one the trailers was Julia Roberts and Clive Owen’s new romantic-espionage flick called Duplicity (opening on March 20th, 2009)!
May I say for the record, that I quite like Julia’s wardrobe in that film and I’m already eyeing her March Jacobs handbag which I saw in one of the scenes!!!

Can someone STOP Demi Moore from looking this good at 46!
Can someone explain to me how Demi Moore can STILL keep looking as beautiful as she does? I mean she looks just ravishingly stunning every time I see her. She looked incredible at the 66th Golden Globe Award, didn’t she?
As I was working on the post on Madonna’s fitness secrets, I saw a story on Demi and her 30-year-old husband and I just had to click on the link and once AGAIN there she was looking incredible on this press photo.
I mean, what is it … good genes … a great glam squad (fitness and beauty experts who work with her) … or simply the fact that she’s married to a man who is 16 years younger than she is (maybe that’s what’s missing in my life)?
One thing is certain and that’s the fact that Demi Moore makes 46 look damn-hot!
I think my favourite thing about Demi Moore is the fact that she always chooses very sophisticated, yet sexy looks.

How does Madonna get her rock hard body at 50?
It’s no secret that Madonna has got to be the fittest 50-year-old woman on the planet. Heck, she would beat me at the gym and she’d been most women half her age.
Madonna is certainly disciplined when it comes to her workouts. This is nothing new because Madonna has been training and keeping her body fit since she was in her 20s! The mother of two and adoptive mother of little David from Malawi is getting a lot of ink because of the fact that so many people have preconceived notions of what a 50-something woman should look like. I’m not the biggest Madonna fan, but I do love how Madonna has always broken rules and she’s not afraid to shy away from “sameness”.

Does Lisa Rinna regret her plastic surgery enhancements?
I was surfing old archive of Yahoo’s OMG when I found Lisa Rinna’s feature. What stopped me dead in my tracks was the title: “I Look Like a Freak” After Too Much Plastic Surgery”.
You won’t hear too many Hollywood celebrities admitting to too much Botox Cosmetics® or having had too many shots of injection fillers.
The former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant admits that she’s had her cheeks enhanced with injections of Juvederm® and she admits that she might have gone overboard (I totally agree)!
It’s interesting because Lisa (45, born July 11, 1963) admits that she was influenced by one of her girlfriends when she decided to explore this cosmetic enhancement avenue.

Christy Turlington is 40 and she looks as beautiful now as she did in 1987!
Christy Turlington is now 40 (born January 2, 1969)! The 1980s supermodel looks as flawless today as she did when I first saw her on the cover of my favourite fashion magazines as a teenager.
I’ve featured Christy as a Beauty Match Celebrity Pick a few times because I think she’s aging so well. I also am quite partial to the fact that she’s part Latina (as I never hesitate to highlight other compatriots and her mother was from El Salvador), but I’m really partial to the fact that she re-entered the modelling business in her late 30s and today in her 40s she’s the face of Roberto Coin jewellery, Chanel, Escada and Maybelline Cosmetics. The mother of two (she has one boy and one girl with actor Ed Burns) is busier now than she ever was and she’s still the picture of perfection.

Is Joan Collins undergoing plastic surgery at 75 to look younger?
The answer to that would be a big-fat-resounding NO!
Joan Collins has spoken out against Botox® and she feels equally adamant about NOT going under the knife to maintain her youthfulness as she ages.
Joan Collins has never been shy with words and she’s very forthcoming in her feelings about women who do go for a facelift:
“Women who turn to cosmetic procedures look ghastly. They don’t look like themselves. I quite like the way I look, I’m quite happy with the way I look and I really don’t want to change it”.
If the fact that Joan is married to a guy 30 years her junior isn’t proof of how confident she feels with her looks and the whole aging process … I don’t know what is.
Joan Collins seems to be quite content with her imperfections and she’s not in a hurry to use cosmetic surgery as a way of fixing her “aging” flaws.
