While listening to an interview on iVillage UK, the host revealed a staggering statistic: 80 per cent of all wrinkles are caused by excessive sun exposure, according to a large number of skincare experts.

SPF protection and reducing your exposure to the sun, especially during the hot summer months, are really one of the best anti-aging treatments for your skin.

After many discussions with cosmetic dermatologists and plastic surgeons, it’s clear that a SPF cream will not protect the skin against pre-mature wrinkles.

An SPF cream will protect the skin against burns … the higher the SPF number, the longer you can stay under the sun without getting burned. The only way to reduce the risks of pre-mature aging and wrinkles associated with excessive sun exposure is to stay out of the sun or considerably reduce the amount of time you spend in the sun.
