It’s hard to feature a woman like Sophia Loren because you’re talking about a legend … and it’s important to keep that in mind and respect that.
Sophia Loren became a star at a time where movie executives had a lot of say in a star’s persona and look.
Although many directors requested that Sophia consider making changes to her appearance (lose weight, get a nose job, or alter your appearance to make your look “more commercial”) … she refused to modify her distinct looks.
Sophia Loren could have made the decision to undergo plastic surgery in order to look like the “girl next door”, but she didn’t and kept her unforgettable face … which became a trademark in her career.
When you look at so many Hollywood stars Sophia’s age (73, born September 1934) who have given into cosmetic surgery excesses, Sophia Loren is aging well and her naturally unconventional looks are playing in her favour as she adds more candles to her birthday cake.
Sophia Loren is my Celebrity Beauty Match Pick because she held on to her Italian good looks and striking features, and in the process she became the devastatingly glamorous beauty icon she is today … and will continue being for a long time to come.
