Sex and the City the movie is B-R-I-L-L-I-A-N-T!

I’m not going to ruin it for those who have not had chance to see what I suspect will become a huge hit and cult favourite among women in North America.
Sex and the City the movie is as mesmerizing as you would expect … and then some.
The couture is unquestionably perfect and I’d say that Celebrity stylist Patricia Fielding (who believe it or not is 66!!!) has outdone herself. Every single character (all four are over 40 in the series) looked super sexy and none of them where trying to look 20-something again … these women were celebrating being (over) 40 and fabulous!
Everything was a dream … from the makeup … to the shoes (oh the shoes) … to the hand bags … to the jewellery … and of course the designer wear.
When the film opened in my movie theatre the crowd cheered and clapped. The audience was a diverse mix of young 20-something to gay men in their 50s … exactly what you would expect for such a movie.
I had announced my excitement for the film last month in a post: Sex and the City Movie featuring four women over 40!
You won’t see too many films where the main characters are over 40 in real life (and even soon to be 50) AND who play 40-something women in the film.
I can assure you that it took me about 15 minutes to decide that I HAD to buy the DVD when it came out because from the opening scene the fashion grabs you and doesn’t let go until the last scene.
The film has a few dramatic twists and turns, but this is a comedy … actually it’s a romantic comedy.
The couture and the martinis might be as common on Sex and the City the movie as rain in London (U.K.), but don’t be fooled, just like the HBO series, at its heart the film is about four best friends who want to maintain a balance between their friendship, their dreams and the men in their lives.
In three simple words, I LOVED it!
My vote is: 
Ladies, grab your girlfriends and make this an evening of celebration for women!
BTW, every single movie goer was wearing her best and most women were wearing dangerously high heels … no doubt that the celebration will continue at a nearby bar or lounge with martini in hand.
