***Review submitted by our reader Krista who won one of the prizes from the Fabulous March contest***
I cannot tell you how excited I was about winning one of the March contest prizes!
Let me state upfront that I am a make-up and hair care junkie!
I have tried just about everything, and am always on the lookout to try the new ‘it’ beauty product.
My contest prize included a bottle of Nexxus shampoo and conditioner, so I thought I would give it a run for its money.
I was using the formula for dry hair, called Therappe and Humectress. I have very dehydrated chin length hair, and I wanted to see if this shampoo would quench my over-processed hair.
The shampoo nicely lathered (as compared to my previous sulphite-free Ojon Tawaka shampoo), and the conditioner smelled like mild coconut, which is quite nice.
I have used this duo for about 2 weeks now, and I am happy that it did not fade or strip my hair colour, which I was concerned about given that it was not a designated “colour-safe” formula.
However, my hair does not seem any less dehydrated and it’s less shiny than when I was using the Ojon products. I will continue to use this shampoo and conditioner until it is gone, as it does have a nice smell, but then my quest for the Holy Grail in shampoo continues…
I give Nexxus shampoos and conditioners a solid 3 out of 5.
