Review submitted by our product reviewer Eleni
***Eleni provides a very complete review of the Liquid Lazer MD Anti-Wrinkle System***
The big question on the box asks “Is it laser treatment…or is it Liquid Lazer MDTM ?”
That’s such an exciting query because if one can get laser-like results from a box of beauty products, that would be heavenly!
At the prices listed below, which aren’t exactly bargain basement, these serums don’t even come close to the price of a series of laser treatments. I really, really wanted this anti-aging line to do a good job.
I couldn’t wait to finish with the other products I was testing so that I could give this kit the full work-over.
The Liquid Lazer anti-aging skin care treatment kit contains four products that I will discuss in this review:
1. Liquid Lazer MDTM Anti-Wrinkle Lotion ($100)
2. Spot Solution 24/10TM ($40)
3. Luscious LipsTM Lip Treatment ($30)
4. Eyeline Erazer 24/20TM Anti-wrinkle cream ($60)
>>> 1) Liquid Lazer MDTM Anti-Wrinkle Lotion: This lotion claims to be an advanced anti-aging cosmeceutical skin care formula that is suitable for all skin types and helps target and diminish deep wrinkles and fine lines. The ingredients include pea extract, white, green and red tea extracts and grape seed extract. All these ingredients are known to combat free radicals and have an anti-aging effect on the skin.
Testing Liquid Lazer MDTM anti-wrinkle lotion:
I used a couple pumps of lotion and applied it to my clean face by massaging it in gently in the morning and at bedtime. It absorbed well and left my skin very soft. There was a bit of a medicinal scent at first but I hardly noticed it by the third week. My skin never felt dry or tight during the entire testing period.
One thing I disliked was the dried up dark bit of lotion that expelled at the start of pumping almost every time I used it. I hate to waste product and wasn’t impressed that I had to wipe this on a tissue before using the lotion. Can’t anyone figure out how to make a pump bottle that doesn’t waste expensive lotion?
Did I see any results?
My skin looked just a touch less lined and felt soft and smooth by the fourth week of use. I didn’t notice any firmer or lifted look to my face but I was still happy with the results.
Would I buy it? Absolutely, YES!
Would I replace my current lotion? I might…perhaps laser treatments would provide more noticeable results, but I can’t afford that right now, so this is a great alternative.
Retail Price: $100 CAD

>>> 2) Liquid Lazer MDTM Spot Solution 24/10TM
This lotion claims that it will significantly reduce the appearance of dark spots on the face and body by using it over a 10-day period. The instructions warn users to avoid direct sunlight when using this aging dark spot remover because it could cause excessive skin lightening.
Testing Liquid Lazer MDTM Spot Solution 24/10TM:
I applied it twice a day for 10 days on the darker, discoloured area just below my lower lip and above my chin. It absorbed quickly and was easy to use.
Did I see any results?
I actually ran out of product by the ninth day and didn’t see any improvement at all. Maybe my discoloured areas are not the type of pigmentation that this product works best on, but I was so disappointed when I didn’t see any lightening whatsoever.
Would I buy it? No thanks.
Would I replace my current lightening product? I don’t really use any products in this category. I do use an exfoliating cleanser regularly, so I think I’ll just stick with that for the time being and get myself a facial whenever I can budget it in.
Retail Price: $40

3) Liquid Lazer MDTM Luscious LipsTM Lip Treatment
This is a hydrating and plumping lipstick that adds moisture and fullness to the lips. It can be worn on its own, over just pencil or under lipstick and gloss.
Testing Liquid Lazer MDTM Luscious LipsTM Lip Treatment:
I used this lip treatment a few times a day and came up with my own effective approach to using it. I used a lip exfoliator daily and it has helped with the aging fine lines around my lips that seem to have appeared just this past year. Then I applied a bit of pencil in a shade closest to my own lip color. After that, I used the Luscious Lips Lip Treatment a few times a day. It felt very hydrating but not overly glossy or greasy.
Did I see any results?
I never knew how much those fine lines around the mouth could detract from your looks until it happened to me. Lipstick applied with a skillful hand looked good until I started using a bit of lip scrub followed by Liquid Lazer MDTM Luscious LipsTM Lip Treatment. I didn’t think there was a product out there that could actually give a soft, sexy, “juicy’ look to these 50-something old lips, but this treatment certainly did. It really helped to subtract a few years from the look of my lips. I think it’s fabulous!
Would I buy it? YES, YES, YES!
Would I replace my current lip treatment? Yes – I’m really sold on this product. It’s better than any gloss, balm or lip treatment that I’ve ever tried.
Retail Price: $30

4) Liquid Lazer MDTM Eyeline erazer 24/20TM Anti-wrinkle cream
This is a cream for the around-the-eye contour area is to be used once or twice a day. It can be applied with the ring finger or just a clean, cotton swab. The manufacturer claims that using this product for 20 days will help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and continued use will help maintain the improvement.
Testing Liquid Lazer MDTM Eyeline erazer 24/20TM Anti-wrinkle cream:
I applied it twice a day (morning and night) for four weeks. One pump of the bottle was enough to do both eyes. It was similar in texture to the liquid lazer lotion – creamy and beige with a quickly absorbing quality. Make-up went on easily without a problem once it was absorbed into the under-eye area.
Did I see any results?
I liked it during the day but found it wasn’t moisturizing enough for me overnight. At times I was startled to see the “creepy” look of fine lines under my eyes but it went away after a rich eye cream was lightly applied. I really love a lot of aspects of getting older, but this particular one is my least favorite.
Would I buy it? Possibly.
Would I replace my current eye cream? The cream I’m using right now is more hydrating than this lotion and maybe because I’m 50, I’m at the stage when I need more moisture under the eyes.
Retail Price: $ 60

>>>> Just a bit of a superficial observation … the entire product kit comes packaged in the ugliest, cheapest-looking box I’ve ever seen. It’s gold with a clear cellophane window showing the four products within. Honestly, I’ve seen more exclusive packaging in the local discount superstore. The actual product bottles in their matte gold tubes encased in clear acrylic with white pumps look beautiful on my vanity table – it’s just the outside packaging that’s a turn-off … especially with the prices this company is charging. Yes, call me shallow, but it’s cosmetics I’m reviewing, so I’m entitled to sound off just a little.

I read Elena’s review of Liquid Lazer products (sept ‘09) and would be interested in trying them out but cannot find anyone who sells them. They don’t sell anything from their website and I can’t find anywhere online who sells this product. Their website says find at Shopper’s Drug mart but they told me they stopped selling two years ago. I live in Calgary and would appreciate any information you can provide. I’ve noticed that you quite often have links on your website but in this case the reviews for the product were good, but there was not links. THanks!

Laura,
It was at Shopper’s Drug Mart in Toronto.
Maybe things have changed. I know a lot has changed since the recession with cosmetic and skincare brands.
You may want to try the company’s site:

Im over 48 and I found the Made from Earth “Vitamin Enhanced Face Firming Cream” very potent as a lip moisturizer. It helps diminish the fine lines above my upper lip.
After trying many different products eye products also, I started using the Vitamin Enhanced Face Firming serum to take away the puffiness under my eyes, it decreased those fine lines and tightens up that delicate skin around my eyes.
For the lips, after I applied the the cream,it instantly lifted and erased surface lines. Highly recommended for a lip moisturizer but also an under eye cream for firming….
