New SPF products to protect your skin

I know this is one of the worst summers since 1992 for pretty much all of us living on the east coast in North America and I do know from friends in Europe that some of them have had a pretty miserable summer as well, but there are still many long days left to bask in the sun. Because summer is not nearly over, I thought I would share with you a few new SPF products I’ve come across that you might be right for you.
I should also mention that although it’s obvious that we NEED to protect our skin against the harmful rays of the sun during months like June, July and August, it’s important to keep in mind that sun protection should be year round (yup, 365 days per year).
The harmful rays of the sun will penetrate the clouds on overcast days and if you are spending a lot of time outside, you are exposing yourself uselessly to hyperpigmentation, premature aging and skin cancer.
Here are 4 new SPF products you might want to consider to protect your skin:
1) Dermaglow 70 SPF High Protection: I don’t remember ever seeing a SPF 70 product until now. With this high protection level, you can rest assured that you are getting the highest levels of UVB protection on the market. Dermaglow 70 SPF will also protect your skin against the harmful UVA rays as well.
The formula is lightweight and non-greasy which means that combination and oily skin should be able to use it as well. Dermaglow 70 SPF is also waterproof!

2) Alyria Corrective Protection Sunscreen SPF 30: This formula is a broad-spectrum sunblock with antioxidant protection against free radical damage that causes premature aging. The Alyria Corrective Protection Sunscreen SPF 30 is a unique blend of antioxidant properties in a patented formulation. You’ll be happy to know that Alyria Corrective Protection Sunscreen SPF 30 is oil-free and non-comedogenic (won’t cause pores to clog … which can cause acne flare-ups).
3) Heiko Age Defense Moisturizer SPF 15: This is a moisturizer that contains a SPF 15 protection, but I’m featuring it because it contains all natural and even some organic ingredients. Some people are looking for formulas that don’t contain the traditional mix of chemicals added to SPF products (there are no PARABENS, parsol, dyes, synthetics, panthenol, alcohol or nut oil in this formula), so this might be a good option to consider. Since this doesn’t seem to be a formula that is lightweight or oil-free, I’d recommend that readers with combination or oily skin use this SPF on your body where you won’t break out.
4) Heiko SPF 40 Physical Sunscreen UVA & UVB Ultra Protection Cream: Here’s another chemical-free formula, but this is a full SPF protection (so you’ll need to use moisturizer before applying this SPF on your face). Once again here, if you have combination or oily skin, I might not use it on my face because this doesn’t seem to be a lightweight or oil-free formula!

I’ve discovered an amazing Australian brand Hissyfit (how cute is that name). They have a divine body cream which is SPF 30+ UVA/’UVB but the smell is sublime – it’s Vanilla, Almond, Orange and Grapefruit. It’s a really beautiful cream for face or body and doesn’t smell or feel like sunscreen at all. It’s the best Iv’e ever used.
