I just LOVE the Oscars. Not only did I watch the entire show without zapping to another TV show once, but I also watched hours of pre-Oscar buzz as well! I liked every part of it and I even spent the entire pre-Oscar-red-carpet walk tweetering about my favourites and those dresses I just couldn’t understand.
I won’t go into details about who looked good and who didn’t because all the fabulous couture is all over the internet, but I will simply tell you what I told my friend Natasha: “When Brad and Angie got out of their limo while I was tweetering, I held my breath because they looked so good together!”
Well, I might not have held my breath when I saw Marion Cotillard’s hair, but I was dazzled and I couldn’t wait to know more about the little insider’s secrets behind such perfect hair!!!

Top celebrity hair stylist Robert Vetica, who styled Marion Cotillard’s hair for her La Vie En Rose Best Actress Oscar win in 2008, once again created a flawless, dramatic look that worked to perfection with the elegant John Galliano for Christian Dior gown and shoes that she wore. Marion’s beautiful jewellery was courtesy of Chopard Jewellers!!!
Robert Vetica created a shimmering, ultra modern take on the French Twist that was inspired by Cecil Beaton’s portraits of the great fashion and society icons of the 40s and 50s.
Polished and styled close to the head, Marion’s French Twist was rolled large and emphasized volume for a contemporary edge.
Step-by-step guide to Marion’s perfect French Twist:
1) To create the beautifully sculptured French Twist, Vetica first blow-dried Marion Cotillard’s hair with a round brush using Moroccanoil® Hydrating Styling Cream to smooth, detangle strands and to prevent frizz, and created a low side part. He then teased the hair all over with added attention to the crown and the back of the head.
2) He then brushed the teased hair and shaped it into a full, lavish French Twist, rolled and pinned it in place, then used a rat tail comb to lift the crown and emphasize the volume from the back.
3) Vetica then finished with a light spray of new Moroccanoil® Gold Glimmer Shine to give the look a luminous, natural looking and long-lasting shine.
