If my memory serves me correctly, Prescriptives Magic Illuminating Potion Foundation Primer is one of the first primers on the market.
Unlike the other formulations, the Magic Illuminating Potion Foundation Primer has more of a translucent finish Basically, you’ll notice that the product is whitish-pearl in tone with several specks of translucent pinks, yellows and blues. This holographic effect is ideal to correct the appearance of unevenness and mild discolouration. This also allows you to use Prescriptives Magic Illuminating Potion Foundation as a highlighter on spots on your face, such as cheekbones, where you want light to reflect. It’s a trompe-l’oeil (make-up trick) that ads a lot of luminosity to your skin.
One thing with this formulation to consider is quantity. Because the formulation reflects light, you don’t want to overdo it or else you’ll end up looking a bit odd. In other words, a little goes a long way with the Prescriptives Magic Illuminating Potion Foundation Primer.
Here’s something most other cosmetic companies don’t have: Prescriptives also carries a copper-tinted formula of the Magic Illuminating Potion Foundation Primer for darker skin tones. If you are a darker skin beauties who is looking to correct mild discolouration, this formulation might work for you.
Prescriptives Magic Illuminating Potion Foundation Primer did not hold my make-up as much or as long as some of the other silicone-based primers, but it did make my skin look very luminous.
The Prescriptives Magic Illuminating Potion Foundation Primer retails for $30 USD/ $44 CDN.
