Lauren Hutton: model, actress, rebel and now CEO of a makeup company!

I’ve always thought Lauren Hutton was a stunning woman because she always had an air of freshness, an intense vitality and a vibe of approachability even behind the heavy makeup required when you are a model posing for top fashion magazines.

I’ve seen Lauren Hutton on many interviews and she’s got a rebellious side to her that has helped her pursue anything she’s set her mind to. She’s said many times in interviews that when she has her mind set on something … not much will stop her.

Although Lauren became a top model in the 70s, 80s and her 90s comeback for other top designers and cosmetic companies, it’s only now that she’s putting her face at forefront to promote something she strongly believe in … her own line of cosmetic and skincare products created for women over 40.

Lauren Hutton has had a so-so career on the big and small screen with memorable performances that included socialite Linda Fairchild in the 1995 CBS soap-opera Central Park West and her own short-lived talk show, but it’s irrefutable that Lauren Hutton’s major strength is the fact that she’s gorgeous and the camera loves her.

Lauren Hutton is my Celebrity Beauty Pick because becoming a female CEO is always cause for celebration in my book, but become a female CEO of your own company at 64 … now that’s something to talk about because it shows that it’s NEVER too late to make it to the top! I also choose Lauren because she’s an avid motorcycle rider. Since learning how to ride a motorcycle is still something on my list of things to do, it’s always so impressive for me when I find out about women who do it so well.

Here’s something else that’s worth highlighting, in October 2005 (well before Dove made it acceptable to artistically show naked women over 50), at the age of 61, Lauren agreed to pose nude for Big magazine!
