I cannot believe Ines de la Fressange is 52!

ines-de-la-fressange_roger_vivier_shoes I truly have to say this news stopped me dead in my tracks.

I’ve known Ines de la Fressange for a few decades now because I’ve always admired the easy with which she made her way down the catwalk when she used to be Karl Lagerfeld’s muse for Chanel.

Ines, is one of those French women you love to hate because she’s so thin and so pretty and so charming. Everything about her is incredibly effortless and at the same time it’s so stylish.

I love that about so many French women, don’t you? They dress with so much style and elegance and I love the fact that as they age they don’t all end up looking the same. You know what I mean.

If you look at women in Hollywood, they all look alike because they’ve all had too many beauty injections. If French women are doing the same, it’s done with a soft hand and looks incredibly natural.

I love the article that appeared a few months ago in the Madame Figaro (the online version) where they dubbed Ines: “Ines de la Fressange abolument renversante” (Ines de la Fressange is totally amazing).

I couldn’t agree more with their description of this former Chanel-muse-supermodel-turned-designer shoe ambassador.

Today, Ines, might only be sashaying her way down the catwalk for the fun of it (as she did recently for Jean-Paul Gauthier) and to show the fashion world that a 51-year-old model can still be gorgeous, but these days, Ines is focus her attention on her few role as the face of Roger Vivier shoes.
