Thanks to Chippendale dancers (not really my cup of tea) and reality shows featuring shirtless buff men, a lot more regular guys are now opting to go hairless.
I’ve only tried waxing a few times in my life and each time I thought I would start seeing angels fly because the pain was unbearable.

Men don’t want PARABENS in their skincare anymore!
Men are becoming more aware of parabens, which show up as preservatives in countless cosmetic and hygiene products.
The most commonly found parabens include: methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, isobutylparaben and other paraben-suffixed words in their ingredients.
If you look at the ingredient listing of your skincare products, you’ll find them in a number of combinations.

Are you being judged by your first impression?
In my previous post I talk about one of the major reasons that motivated men to seek the help of a cosmetic doctor. If you recall, Dr. Paul Cohen outlined the fact that men are quite concerned with how they are perceived at work and because of this reason, they tend to opt for popular procedures such as Botox Cosmetic® to soften any strong facial muscle that might make them look like they are on edge or worst constantly angry.

It’s true that Botox injections are still more popular among women than men, but more and more men are now getting in on the action because they either want to minimize the appearance of aging on their face or because they work in an environment/industry where they have to appear as youthful as possible.

Skin care lines for men are on a rise!

According to a survey conducted by “Datamonitor, 73% of US and European men said that is was ‘important’ or ‘very important’ for them to spend in front of the mirror”. The same survey found that “72% of women felt the same way”.
That said, men have different concerns than we do when it comes to skin care. They aren’t yet focusing anti-aging products like many women. That said, grooming and shaving seem to be top on their list.
Another differentiating point between the genders is that men aren’t interested in having different skin care products for different skin care issues. They love products that have multiple functions. Where we buy an SPF protection, a moisturizer and an anti-aging/protection product, men want all of those properties in one product.
