It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye

It-Cosmetics-Bye-Bye-Under-Eye

*** This is a full coverage waterproof concealer by It Cosmetics***

Feature by our Editorial Assistant Colleen

When you think about one of the most frustrating things that you want to hide when it comes to your eyes, I think eyebags come pretty close to topping the list.

It Cosmetics has this waterproof concealer (Bye Bye Under Eye) that targets right underneath the eye to reduce the look of eye bags. I am enthusiastic that the concealer is waterproof. I think that’s what got me hooked at the moment.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye comes in four shades: light, dark, neutral medium and tan.

Maybelline New York Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara

Review submitted by our product reviewer Eleni

I just love playing with new make-up. Even after all the years of wearing make-up and spending all kinds of money on cosmetics, I still love to try new innovations in the cosmetic field.

Maybelline New York just came out with its version of a battery-operated vibrating mascara. I was interested in trying out this new technology, but I was definitely not sold on the idea that I needed my mascara to vibrate.

The higher-end cosmetics companies have already launched similar products; both Lancôme and Estee Lauder sell vibrating/oscillating mascaras for around $32 USD/$39 CAD, but I was more drawn to the reasonably priced Maybelline New York Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara.

REVIEW: Lash Mantra Eyelash Growth Serum

Review submitted by our product reviewer Eleni

I read about a recently launched prescription formulation that is supposed to grow full, long, dark eyelashes with Brooke Shields as the official spokesperson. It’s called Latisse and the FDA has approved it for patients in the U.S., but Health Canada has not ruled on it yet for prescriptions to Canadians. Having lost the outer halves of both brows to normal (aging) hair loss and many lashes to brittleness, I knew I would love to try Latisse someday.

Imagine my delight when I was asked to try out a lash serum that promised to do everything the prescription product does using natural, conditioning, non-irritating ingredients.

Testing Lash Mantra Eyelash Growth Serum:

It was easy enough to use. For this review, I used Lash Mantra each night on clean eyeleashes for 2-1/2 weeks. I’ll continue using it because I know there are more subtle changes on the way and it likely will take a few more weeks to observe a full growth cycle.

Review: Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara

Feature from contest winner Christina

This is yet another great post from one of our readers who was lucky enough to win one of the many prizes from one of our monthly beauty contests.

Christina (from Fresno, California) took the time to send me a quick review on the Maybelline Lash Stiletto!

Since most of my readers have a long love affair with mascara, I think it’s safe to say we’re always quite happy to discover a new mascara that works! Now, if it’s possible to find a good mascara under $10 … that’s even better … so let’s see if Christina’s review confirms this.

Let’s face it, we always see these sleek ads and these sexy TV commercials, but does the product really works when ordinary people try it? Let’s see what Christina had to say!

>>> Christina puts the Maybelline Lash Stiletto to the test:

The Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara did lengthen my lashes pretty dramatically (I tested the mascara for about two weeks before writing this review).

I have pretty short lashes so the difference was awesome!

Revlon Lash Fantasy Total Definition to extend your lashes

Feature by our Editorial Assistant Colleen

Here we go. Yet another eyelash item on our hands, but from Revlon this time. Could this be Revlon’s answer to Maybelline’s XXL Extreme mascara?

Let’s do a quick comparison shall we?

First up Revlon’s Lash Fantasy Total Definition: It comes in three different colours, blackened black, blackest brown and black. The mascara also claims to give you thick and longer (up to 70 per cent longer) lashes without any clumps. The colour will last you a complete day without any smudges or flakes. However, there is the possibility that this mascara will clump up on you. You’ll find this at $8.99 USD/$9.99 CAD.

Maybelline launches Pulse Perfection Mascara

Feature by our Editorial Assistant Colleen

You can never get tired of new mascaras, especially ones that have an extra gimic up their sleeve.

I’m talking about Maybelline’s latest, the Pulse Perfection Mascara.

This is a vibrating mascara, similar to the Estee Lauder Vibrating mascara, but not nearly as expensive!

I usually like to be fully in control when I apply makeup on myself but I suppose it’s nice to have the product do a bit more work than you every once in awhile.

Maybelline Pulse Perfection Mascara tester

I’m looking for a tester to review Maybelline’s new Maybelline Pulse Perfection Mascara!

The only people who can leave a comment below to participate are the ladies who have sent me a review of some of the products they’ve won in past contests and those who’ve sent me a testimonial for the Beauty has NO age limit book.

I will have loads of reader reviews published later in July and I’m so excited!

Review: Dr. Michelle Copeland Ageless Skin under Eye Concealer with Anti-Wrinkle Complex is a winner!

Review submitted by our product reviewer Eleni

We love products that beautify and disguise all at the same time.

One thing about getting older that’s not so hot is looking tired even when you feel great. It’s even worse when people comment on how run-down you’re looking. Anything that can hide and improve that scenario all at the same time is absolutely welcome in my arsenal of cosmetic tricks.

Developed by plastic surgeon, Dr. Michelle Copeland, this perfect under eye concealer contains Dr. Copeland’s Rewind Eye Formula, which has an exclusive blend of age-defying ingredients for the eye area and has been successful in reducing the appearance of wrinkles and puffiness around eyes.
