***Over 232,000 people have found the motivation to lose weight! Read below how they did it!***
Athletes have been doing it from the beginning of time.
In fact, I was watching last night a show that featured a young French professional race car driver who was a shinning start for Mercedes Benz. I’m quite the fan of a sexy Benz and I cannot imagine how exciting it must be to have as a job the duty to drive one of the best automobiles on the planet at ridiculously high speeds.
Obviously the moral here has nothing to do with the maker of the race car but rather about one particular thing the 26 year-old professional driver said.
He explained that before each race he sits in a quiet room and goes over and over in his mind all the curves of a road and how he’s going to handle each turn. He was explaining that he will have performed the race in his mind many times over before ever stepping behind the wheel.
There is a reason why athletic coaches get their clients to look at old filmed competition events in order for each performing move to be ingrained in their head.

6 Steps to feel sexy in your body!
A guest post by Sarah Maria Love Your Body, Love Your Life: 5 Steps to End Negative Body Obsession and Start Living Happily and Confidently
> When you look in the mirror, are you amazed by what you see?
> Are you smitten with your sexy body?
> Are you stunned by your own magnificence?
> Or do you look in the mirror and lament the size of your thighs?
> Grimace at the wrinkles appearing around your eyes?
> Agonize over that roll of belly fat that refuses to retreat, despite endless crunches and trips to the gym?
If you are like the vast majority of women, and a growing number of men, you answer “yes” to the latter questions far too often.
Statistics confirm that many people have a critical and harsh relationship with their bodies. They suffer from Negative Body Obsession, a condition marked by the near-constant and critical rumination about one’s physical appearance.
Whether you are a woman going through menopause, an adolescent in the midst of puberty, or a man slowly losing his once thick head of hair, it seems that no one is immune from these negative body thoughts.
Look at these startling numbers:
* Between 1997 and 2007, cosmetic surgery increased by 457 percent.
* By 2015, 17 percent of U.S. residents will receive cosmetic surgery, totaling 55 million procedures – almost one procedure for every five Americans.
* Approximately eight million Americans have an eating disorder.
* One in 200 American women suffers from anorexia.

Losing weight CAN be easy

There are many different paths to weight loss. Some are successful and some are simply a colossal waste of time where you might end up gaining more weight than you’ve lost. If you are relying on diet pills or the latest fad diet to help you reach your ideal weight, you are wasting both your time and money!
I’m a huge advocate of a healthy lifestyle and I think those “lose-weight-fast” scams are only self-defeating exercises. The formula that works is really simple: you have to make smarter food choices AND you have to exercise.
Lately, I’ve been watching the new Dr. Oz Show (with Dr. Mehmet Oz, Oprah’s go-to medical expert), who tackles weight issues regularly. His counsel is always the same: diet and exercise. However, for some people, having what it takes to make better food choices on their own is the real challenge.

If you’re not sleeping well at night … it might be time to visit a sleep doctor!

***This is a really incredible interview***
A few months ago I met with sleep expert Dr. Colin Shapiro. Before even getting into all the amazing things I learned from my meeting with Dr. Shapiro, I think it’s really important to look at his amazing pedigree.
Dr. Colin Shapiro is a professor of Psychiatry and Ophthalmology, University of Toronto, director of Neuropsychiatry at the Toronto Western Hospital, director of the Sleep & Alertness Clinic & Sleep Research Laboratory at the Toronto Western Hospital and director of the Youthdale Child & Adolescent Sleep Clinic. He’s been involved in sleep research for over 25 years. He was trained in medicine in South Africa and earned a PhD in sleep physiology at the University of Edinburgh. Dr. Shapiro has written over 200 publications in the subject of sleep, including “Fighting Fatigue and Sleepiness”, Working the Shift” and “Who needs to sleep anyway”.
I’ll be honest, I had no clue that there was such a thing as a “sleep doctor” until meeting Dr. Shapiro. It was Eleni (our resident product reviewer) who suggested that it would be a great topic to tackle for women in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s who are dealing with so many changes in their lives that affect their sleeping pattern.

Why are wigs so important for women recovering from breast cancer?

Wigs are an important part of the recovery for many women who lose their hair because of cancer treatments. Women have such an emotional connection to their hair, and I cannot imagine how emotionally traumatizing it must be for cancer survivors who have to deal with the reality of their hair loss.
To understand the importance of wigs in the life of many post-recovery cancer patients, I met with Michael Suba, owner of Continental Hair Salons.
Michael’s family has been in the wig business since 1964 when his parents, a couple of hairdressers, decided to ride the wave of the 60s. Now, the business is operated and managed by Michael.

Sundari gift set in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
I’ve reviewed many times in the past the line that was co-created by Celebrity Beauty Pick Christy Turlington. I now have one extra reason to feature this line! Sundari is releasing three new gift sets this October and has partnered with Cosmetic Executive Women’s Foundation to donate a portion of the proceeds from their gift sets: “Perserverance”, “Dedication” and “Commitment” to its Cancer and Careers Program.
