Feature by our Editorial Assistant Colleen
If you have uneven or even dull looking skin, this peel will help exfoliate your face and leave you with a brighter and younger look.
I know we’ve all had our fun in the sun but it may have left our face a little damaged or with some spots on our faces. This Gentle Peel Solution from Dermaglow is supposed to be the solution for our skin’s woes. By using this peel it will take away any dry or dehydrated surface skin cells and reveal the younger skin underneath as well as help us hide any wrinkles or fine lines that are sneaking up on us.

Vivier C E Kinerol serum
Review submitted by our product reviewer Eleni
While watching Dr Oz on TV the other day, I thought that he made an excellent analogy discussing the need for antioxidants both through a healthy diet and also applied on the skin to assist in anti-aging. The way that he explained this was by showing an apple cut in half – one half looked perfectly fresh while the other half had starting turning brown. You guessed it – the fresh looking half had lemon juice (vitamin C) sprinkled on it while the brown half had no protection against the oxidation process that just occurs naturally with our environment.
Vitamin C has come a long way since it was first introduced as a skin product. It used to be unstable and lose its effectiveness quite easily, not to mention quick changes in colour and consistency. The scientific geniuses have figured it all out and now we can find really good products containing vitamins quite readily. The absolute best I’ve ever had a chance to experience is the serum I’m writing about today.
Vivier C E Kinerol serum promises to repair, correct, nourish and protect. I was a bit concerned when I saw how small the sample of serum that I had to work with was. We usually try to use a product for 3-4 weeks before writing about it in order to give a well thought out and informative review. It makes me wonder when companies that want their products reviewed send only very small samples, especially for a product like this that promises to improve skin texture and look. That’s the type of thing that normally doesn’t happen overnight. I do understand about the small sizes that are sometimes being sent out because there are bloggers out there just looking for freebies and likely have little to no intention of following through…but that’s not us. We truly do all the work that we commit to doing. In any event, I had nothing to worry about… Vivier C E Kinerol serum started working right away!

Feature by our Editorial Assistant Colleen
Here’s another daytime product from Dr. Nicholas Perricone that you can try out.
This is the Advanced Face Firming Activator that’s aimed at reducing the appearance of large pores, lines and wrinkles on your face. In addition to that, the formula also helps improve your skin tone and gives you a smoother look.
There is an abundance of benefits that this product holds. It almost sounds like an alternative to things like Botox with moisturizing additions to improve your skin’s condition. Not only does it lessen the amount of wrinkles and fine lines you already have but it also works at clearing up your face, improving its quality and lifting and tightening it at the same time.

REVIEW: Genie Instant Line Smoother

Review submitted by our product reviewer Eleni
Yes – I’d line my lines to look smoother instantly – like NOW! Could Genie Instant Line Smoother really do that?
Even Botox takes a few days to settle in and relax those very strong frown muscles. Why do frown muscles have to be so powerful anyhow? We don’t purposely try and work out those muscles, do we? And why can’t stomach muscles be that strong naturally without having to do 100 sit ups each day?
Okay…right – life isn’t always fair. Give me that line smoother and let’s see what I can do with it.
I’m always on the lookout for a new serum, line smoother or eye product. Even beyond the requirements of this job as a reviewer, I’ll always stop and check out something new at the beauty counter. And those cosmetic companies seem to know that we all have anti-aging products on our minds because there has never been a proliferation of so many products in this class until the last few years.

Dermal Repair Cream for sun-damaged skin

Feature by our Editorial Assistant Colleen
A number of lucky readers will head down south during the next few months to take in some much needed sun given how terrible this summer was and how grey fall has been.
Although an even tan is nice, it’s even better to make sure your skin doesn’t suffer from the harsh rays.
Dermal has a product to help your skin get its sun-lit glow while repairing it from any damage. I’m talking about the SkinMedica Dermal Repair Cream.
It’s been a best seller on Amazon and a favourite among many Amazon readers. You can read about what they had to say here: Dermal Repair Cream

Is Prescriptives Super Line Preventor worth the price?

Feature by our Editorial Assistant Colleen
The product I’m about to talk about has been getting some mixed reviews.
It’s a 0.44 oz. liner that sells for about $38 USD. Prescriptives claims that it’s one of their bestsellers.
The Super Line Preventor is a lifting concentrate product that is supposed to firm up your skin while giving it a lift. If you use it long-term it will give you smoother skin, reduce the amount of future wrinkles from occurring and firm up your skin.

REVIEW: OLAY Pro-X anti-aging starter protocol

Review submitted by our product reviewer Eleni
Launched with a lot of fanfare and press earlier this year, the new Olay Pro-X line was something I wanted to get my hands on for a few months.
Olay does make some very good products. They do a lot of research and testing before determining whether or not a new product is ready for the world.
This new Pro-X line was introduced in sexy, deep red packaging. It looks quite different from other Olay products on the drugstore shelf, such as the Regenerist and Definity lines.
Pro-X also is priced higher than other Olay products, but still falls within drugstore pricing levels as opposed to luxury brands. I’m a big fan of popular-priced products that work.
My testing experience for the purposes of this review is limited to the anti-aging starter protocol kit which consists of 3 products and retails for $61.95 USD/$89.95 CAD

4 new brands we’ll be reviewing!

Eleni and Daphne are going to be very busy because I have new brands they’ll be testing soon!
Since it does take us a bit of time to test products because Eleni and Daphne will take up to three weeks to properly test the many products I receive, I decided to start announcing the new products we’re going to evaluate.
I had used this strategy last month to announce new anti-aging products from Olay. If you missed that post, you can still catch it here:
Olay is launching 8 new anti-aging skincare products
I got so many comments from readers that I decided that from now on, I’d be announcing which products we’ll be reviewing because there might be a number of readers who have already tried these products with great success and I’m always happy to hear about a ‘beauty success’ story!
