Diane Kruger’s glamorous hair style at the 2010 SAG Awards

***I don’t know about you, but I think Diane Krueger looks incredible in that golden yellow dress and her hair was perfect!***

Nominee Diane Kruger’s glamorous asymmetrical Jason Wu gown was the inspiration for the soft, romantic side-chignon that celebrity stylist Mark Townsend created for the SAG awards.

“I started by taking a small amount of Moroccanoil® Treatment and finger combed it through Diane’s dry hair” explained Townsend. “The original Moroccanoil® is super light-weight and absorbs right in, to give the hair amazing shine without weighing it down.

“I then took 2 inch sections of hair and wrapped them around a 1 and ½ inch curling iron to create waves all over the head. Next, I took a small amount of Moroccanoil® Hydrating Styling Cream in my palms and then raked my hands through the hair to break up the waves, eliminate any fly-aways, and give the hair a soft hold. Next, I gathered her hair behind her left ear and
loosely braided it, gathering about an inch from the bottom, then looped the end of the braid back up and pinned it behind her left ear.

Marion Cotillard’s hair style at the 2010 SAG Awards

*** Robert Vetica did it again! Did you see how sleek and chic Marion’s hair looked?***

Marion Cotillard’s romantic, somewhat retro hair look for the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, created by celebrity stylist Robert Vetica, was the perfect accent for the dramatic short white dress that she wore.

The look was a creative mix of ultra-smooth, shiny texture with a deconstructed, somewhat messy bun. Rich, silky shine and smooth texture was essential to the success of the look, explained Vetica.

“I started by applying Moroccanoil® Treatment on wet hair to give the maximum shine possible and an easy blow-dry. Next, I applied Moroccanoil® Hydrating Cream, for definition and soft hold, and created a low side part. I then pin-curled the sides toward the direction the face, and then pin-curled another section in the back to give hair added movement.

Marion Cotillard’s hair at the 2010 Golden Globe Awards

2010-golden-globes-award_marion-cotillardMarion Cotillard’s dramatic hair look at the 2010 Golden Globes, created by master celebrity stylist Robert Vetica, complemented her elegant Dior gown with a subtle touch of rock and roll.

I’ve gotten Robert Vetica behind the scene secrets on how he managed to make Marion even more beautiful than usual.

You’ll want to read his Hollywood hair secrets to try to recreate the look on your own!

I wanted a look that was glamorous, but with an edge,” said Vetica, “and was inspired by the rock and roll pompadours of the 50s, strengthened with a sleek, modern French twist.”

Since shiny, healthy-looking hair was essential to the look, I first applied argan oil-infused Moroccanoil Treatment® to wet hair, and blow-dried it straight using a diffuser to keep a bit of natural texture.

Then I pin-curled the entire head front to back, so that hair would easily flow back and up into the pompadour shape. After releasing the pin curls, I ran Moroccanoil® Hydrating Styling Cream through the hair with my hands.

Julia Roberts makeup at the 2010 Golden Globe Awards

Julia-RobertsLancôme’s New Ambassadress Julia Roberts looked radiant on the red carpet at the 67th Golden Globe Awards Ceremony, yesterday Evening In Los Angeles.

I’ll admit that I found her dress to be a bit too casual for the event, but I did find her hair and makeup to be flawless. May I say that her super high heels were killer! And did you see the size of that necklace she was wearing? Talk about bejewelled!

Lancôme’s new ambassadress has made an appearance as a nominee for her starring role in Duplicity.

We’ll soon be seeing Julia in the Eat Pray Love movie due out in August of this year.

Holly Hunter hair style secrets at the 2009 Emmy Awards

Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series nominee Holly Hunter is noted for her formidable mane, and her Emmy’s look was no exception as her dramatic locks once again turned heads.  Movie-star beautiful and naturally elegant, her waved hair was silky smooth and shiny, and absolutely eye-catching.

Star stylist Enzo Angileri who created the look, was inspired by the glamorous metallic sheen of her gown. He created a rich texture emphasized by intense waves, smoothness, and shine. “I wanted her to look glamorous and goddess-like,” said Angileri, “and the hair had to look luminous.”

“Holly’s hair and color is beautiful,” said Angileri, “and I wanted to bring out its deep gold and honey tones for the cameras. Shine was everything in this look since these amazing highlights wouldn’t be at all visible in hair that was not shiny enough to reflect the light — especially on camera and in photos.

Catherine Zeta-Jones hair style secrets by David Babaii

If you missed last week’s 37th AFI Lifetime Achievement Awards, you’ll be happy that Celebrity hair stylist David Babaii was willing to share some of his well guarded hair tips and you too can use the same tips he used on Wales beauty Catherine Zeta-Jones (aka Mrs. Michael Douglas)!

>>> David Babaii reveals the techniques he used on Catherine Zeta-Jones:

1) After gently towel-drying her hair to remove excess water, I warmed a small amount of Hair Polish in the palms of my hands before applying it through the hair. I’ve found warming this product actually boosts its ability to seal the cuticle, while repairing and strengthening each strand. Not to mention the shine!

Ken Paves’ and Jessica Simpson’s Hairdo gives you Hollywood Celeb hair without the high price A-list stylist!

I’ll admit that when I found out that Jessica Simpson used hair pieces to enhance the volume of her hair, I was fairly surprised because I thought she already had a fairly full head of hair. It’s only when I watched a few segments on the Shopping Channel, that I realized how sneaky these hair pieces, created by Jessica’s hairdresser Ken Paves, were because unless I had seen the before and after shots, I truly would never (EVER) know that was not Jessica’s hair.

Watching Ken Paves change a woman’s look and face just by adding a layer of hair is simply fascinating.

It’s true that you can easily get hair extensions if you are looking for more length or more volume or if you have thinning hair, but that option is very costly and very time consuming (it can take half a day to get extensions put in). Ken Paves offers a fast and inexpensive solution that is a great way to change your look for an evening or for the Holidays.
