Celebrities have acne, skin discolouration, dark circles AND wrinkles just like the rest of us!

I’m no one to indulge in watching the demise of celebs. I know it’s a popular sport and perhaps, I’d have millions of daily readers to my site if I actually did spend all my time tracking the debacle of celebs or track who got plastic surgery or too much Botox®.
Some days, I do wake up wishing that millions of adoring readers flocked to my site to find out if Jen Aniston found love or if Brad and Angelina are getting ready for baby #7 and #8 or why are Nicole Kidman’s hands looking so damaged and red lately.

The reason I don’t do it is simply because I would feel uncomfortable bashing people day in day out. As I told someone at an event not long ago … “maybe if I had to see myself on HDTV and on huge theatre screens … maybe I’d overindulge in Botox!”
That said, I do like to include as many “before” and “after” shots of celebrities not to make fun of them, but to show ordinary women that Hollywood celebrities ALSO look like ordinary people before sitting in the chair of talented make-up artists and hair geniuses and also before consulting with a A-list stylists on what to wear and what not to wear.
I was recently reading that Gabriel Union used to NOT care what she looked like when boarding a plane, but with all of the paparazzi hovering around LAX airport in LA, she feels forced to put on full make-up and give up her track suits when she travels.
The reality is celebrities don’t look their best when they wake up, they also have bad hair days, they have acne and other skin issues, they have thinning hair that’s well camouflaged by hair extensions, they have thin lips until they are plumped up. Basically, I’m trying to say that no one (NO ONE) looks glamorous and über sexy unless they get some help.
It means that as women, we really need to love the image we see in the mirror more often.
Here are some great before -and-after shots and you see Hollywood such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Uma Thurman, Gisele Bundchen, Kate Moss, Charlize Theron (she has adult acne!!!), Victoria Beckham (she’s also dealing with acne), Davina McCall looking VERY ordinary in their before shots!
