Revlon is the newest to the trend and recently introduced a hybrid gel polish and our in house beauty junkie tried it out and gives it 2 gel-ed thumbs up! The two best thing about REVLON Colorstay is that it is shatterproof for up to 11 days and you don’t need a UV lamp to harden it!!  Think about how much money and time that will save in manicures!  Available in 30 shades but our favorite trend color ‘to watch” is Amethyst, worn by the gorgeous Halle Berry in the ad.

O.P.I is at it again! Introducing Nicki Manaj’s new collection of polish which includes clever shaike liike ‘metallic for life’ and ‘pink Friday’. These colors are perfect for any pop diva! My beauty match beauty junkie’s favorite so far is ‘did it on Em’ which is a neon yellow! We love Nicki’s style so anything she wears we’ll try!

Winter Skin Beware!

Want to get ahead of the curve this year when it comes to keeping winter skin hydrated?  Here are a few tips to start thinking about now to avoid dry, itchy and cracked skin later.  Most importantly drink lots of water! The more hydrated the inside of the body is the better the skin and hair feel and look. Always wear a hat, this will protect hair and skin and keep your body heat intact. Using an SPF during winter months is imperative to keeping skin protected from the elements and hydrated! Hot showers should be avoided too. Hot water can break down the lipid barrier of the skin which lets the moisture escape and can cause itchy, irritated skin. Remember these little tricks and have soft, hydrated skin all winter long…better for snuggling up next too!

The Return of the Ponytail!

Clear Rhinestone Pony Tail Hair Clip

Winter is close at hand and than means flat and unruly hair! Beauty Match hair guru along with Glamour Magazine claim ponytails are the way to go. There are so many varieties of the ponytail, from a high pony to a loose pony with waves and tendrils to an adorned ponytail with colorful clips and barrettes.  For best pony results, chose a rubber band that won’t break or pull at the hair.  If you’re going for a high ponytail, slick hair back and finish off with a spray of Elnet to get that extra hold!  For a low ponytail, comb hair back to the base of the neck and finish off with a few colorful or metallic clips (our favorite L. Erickson Candy Cliq Clac in Onyx). Finish off hair with a spritz of a shine mist (our favorite: Citre Shine Mist- Anti Frizz)
