Are French women sexier than North Americans?

*** Beauty Match in Paris ***
If you read my first post, then you already have the answer to that question. But for those who have only recently started to read my daily journey on aging-well, you might have missed it.
The sad reality is that more mature French women are sexier than us Canadians and Americans because they THINK they are and not because they actually are. Canada and America are two countries bursting at the seams with gorgeous women of all ages. But, the philosophy or aging is vastly different here than it is in many European countries.
When you hit 45 or 55 in France, you don’t go hide under a rock because your life is over…you simply become “une femme d’un certain age et d’un certain savoir” (a little older, a little wiser). Most women in France have been pulling a “Demi Moore” since this red-hot brunette was in diapers. Younger French men have no opposition to dating a woman who trumps them in age…why should they? Really, being in your mid 40s or 50s or 60s looking radiant and with a sweet young thing on your arm as arm-candy is so “evident” in France, but still rare in North America.
The same philosophy permeates in Italy. Italian women of any age walk around in their four-inch heels feeling like they all look like Monica Bellucci … even when they don’t remotely look like the hot Italian actress.
North America (and yes Canada) is soooooooooo youth obsessed that we look at Demi Moore, Halle Berry, Julia Robert, Iman and Sharon Stone as anomalies. These women all still feeling as sexy today (in their 40s and 50s) as they did when they were 25!
