Since I feel that there is not enough attention given to cleansers, I thought I’d highlight a few cleansers that I’ve tried lately and that I’m quite pleased with.

Now, I should preface and let readers know that this list will really be helpful if you have combination or oily skin. If you have a tendency to have dry skin, most of the cosmetic brands mentioned below also have a full range of cleansers to suit your daily needs so you’ll definitely be able to find the right product for you.

I have tricky skin because I do have combination skin, but at the same time, I also have sensitive skin, so I really cannot use products that are too harsh or else my skin ends up feeling like it’s sand paper. At the same time, I cannot use a product that’s too heavy because I end up with clogged pores.

My list of 8 top cleansers for normal, combination and oily skin:

1) Kiss my Face Obsessively Start Up Organic: This is an organic exfoliant face wash created for normal to oily skin cleanser. This product is leaves your skin clean without feeling too dry.

2) CTRL Facial Cleanser with Salicylic Acid: This is from that skincare line I highlighted last month that is created for acne-prone skin, but it contains no chemical products. This is a good cleanser and it’s quite comforting knowing that it’s been specifically created to help control break outs.

3) NARS Skin Balancing Foam Cleanser: I found that if used too much of this cleanser, I ended up with dry skin. After a few tries, I was able to find the right amount to cleanse my skin without it feeling too try. NARS Skin products aren’t the cheapest on the market, but honestly with the little amount of product you need to cleanse your face, you’ll have this product for a long time.

4) Jurlique Daily Exfoliant Cream: This Jurlique product is gentle enough to be used daily. This is a non-granular exfolianting cream that helps cleanse clogged pores.

5) Jurlique Purifying Cleansing Lotion: This cleanser is part of Jurlique’s Rebalancing Lotion. This product will cleanse without ever leaving your skin feel dry.

6) Alyria Clarifying Cleanser Oil Free: This cleanser is part of Alyria’s Skin Optimizing Clarifying System specifically created for acne-prone skin. This is a clear gel product that will cleanse your skin without any danger of worsening your acne breakouts.

7) Cle de Peau Paris Mousse Nettoyante Fraiche: The experience with this foam-like cream was quite similar to the one with NARS Skin, I realized that I was using far too much product and it was drying my skin so I had to cut back dramatically to find a nice middle ground.

#8) Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Cleansing Foam: I didn’t notice much difference in terms of brightness, but I did find that this cleanser was far more effective if I used only a bit of it to cleanse my face.
